Sir and Lady Nwachukwu Honored with Knighthood Investiture
Sunday, June 1st 2025, at the Royal Episcopal Evangelical Communion Cathedral Orji Imo State was full of excitement as members of the church gathered to witness a momentous occasion, the Investiture of Sir and Lady George Nwachukwu into the Nighthood of St. Philip.
The ceremony symbolized not only honor but a deep commitment to the church and its mission.
Rt Rev. Bishop Nwodu, a figure of wisdom and grace in his homely said the programme calls for celebration and deep reflection as it is far more than title but a call to serve.
“Today, we celebrate not just an elevation in title but a calling, a responsibility”.
“Sir George and Lady Amarachi Nwachukwu, you are now ambassadors and representatives of this church. Remember that your mission is to win souls and to embody love wherever you go.

“Your role is not defined by earthly luxuries but by your commitment and willingness to endure for the sake of Christ’s teachings.”
“As knights of St. Philip, remember, you cannot indulge in the vices of this world, womanizing, drinking, stealing and many more. Live a life worthy of emulation.
” Your actions must reflect the values of our Lord, for you are not just representatives of yourselves, but of the church in all your undertakings.”
Appreciating the Bishop in charge, Rt Rev. Festus Nwodu and the entire church, Nwachukwu stressed that he is poised to focus more on development of the things of God goomg forward.
“I am humbled and honored by this investiture. This is not merely a title; it is a challenge to dedicate more of my time to the things of the Lord. I am resolved to focus my efforts on the development of our children, nurturing them in faith and love. I ask God for the strength to fulfill this.”
“I appreciate every one’s support and encouragement”.
Speaking also Lady Amarachi Nwachukwu, Thank God for the investiture and for His blessings upon her life and family.
“I am deeply grateful for the privilege of adding ‘Lady’ to my title, a reflection of my commitment to serve alongside my husband.”
She described Bishop Nwodu as a man of wisdom, a beacon of integrity, whose unwavering commitment is admired by all.
“I am thankful for his guidance, my parent’s support, and the warm embrace of our entire church community.”
As the evening unfolded, the Bishop continued to lead the celebration, inviting members of the congregation to bless Sir and Lady Nwachukwu. The church erupted in applause and cheers, creating a chorus of support that echoed off the cathedral walls.
The Investiture marked a new beginning for Sir and Lady Nwachukwu. It was a profound reminder of the responsibilities they bore, not just to each other, but to their faith and the community.
