Member representing Ahiazu Mbaise State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sam Otuibe recently in the spirit of Easter celebration and support for stay at home order by the Federal and state governments donated relief food items to the people of Ahiazu Mbaise to help them cushion the effects of the hard times of coronavirus pandemic.
Those who mainly got the relief food items were the indigent and the vulnerable who went home happily with the relief food items, praying God to bless Hon Sam Otuibe for relieving them.
The gesture has so far demonstrated Hon Sam Otuibe as a ‘Good Samaritan’ as his political friends and associates fondly call him.
The relief food items were: tubers of yam, bags of rice, beans, packs of indomie, garri including hand sanitizers- with the event being memorable, reflecting fair love which the donor had demonstrated to his people, leaving them happily and joyfully especially during the Easter Celebration.
Following the Stay-at-Home Order by the Federal Government enforced by the Governor in a bid to protect the people from COVID-19 Pandemic, it becomes imperative for Hon Otuibe whose DNA is naturally configured to do good, to hurriedly went back to his people with welfare packages, to show his care and love in order to mitigate their hardships at a time like this.
Expressing his concern over the unfortunate hardship occasioned by the coronavirus lockdown and hoped that the reason for the lockdown shall soon stop, Otuibe urged them to always maintain thorough personal hygiene while adhering to the social distancing order to remain safe.
Otuibe added that the measure was to further encourage people to stay at home to curtail the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
Otuibe said it was a rare privilege for him to be in the position of serving his people, promising that he will continue to reciprocate their love and unflinching support especially to the administration of Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Chief Joe Okemdirim, who was one of the notable personalities who witnessed the gesture, appreciated Hon Sam Otuibe on his magnanimity to the people, a gesture he confessed has become a recurring decimal to his leadership at Ahiazu Mbaise.
With Mrs Ajegbu Catherine, from Ogbeh- Ahiara, Ahiazu Mbaise, remarking they were “here to benefit from COVID- 19 Pandemic lockdown palliatives from Hon Sam Otuibe. We are so happy today and I thank God for having Hon Otuibe as our leader. May God bless him abundantly”.
