Owerri Municipal Legislative Council Reaffirms Loyalty to APC, Pays Courtesy Visit to State Secretary

Council Leader, Soronnadi Justice, Hails Ibezim as ‘Icon of Hope, Pillar of Loyalty’

The leadership of the Owerri Municipal Legislative Council has reaffirmed its loyalty and commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Imo State during a courtesy visit to the party’s State Secretary, Hon. Onyekachi Ibezim.

The delegation, led by the Council Leader, Rt. Hon. Soronnadi Justice Chijioke, described the visit as a demonstration of solidarity, unity and support for the party leadership at both the state and local government levels.

Speaking during the visit, Soronnadi described Ibezim as an “Icon of Hope and a Pillar of Loyalty”, commending his commitment to the growth, unity and stability of the APC.

He said the visit was more than a ceremonial engagement, noting that it was intended to strengthen the relationship between elected representatives and the party structure while reaffirming the Council’s loyalty to the party.

The Council Leader also expressed the council’s continued support for the leadership of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, whom he described as the leader of the APC in Imo State and a visionary administrator providing direction for the state.

He further reaffirmed the councillors’ loyalty to the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Austin Onyedebelu, stressing that members of the council remained committed party loyalists dedicated to initiatives that would strengthen the APC and promote good governance.

The delegation included the Majority Leader, Rt. Hon. Austin Agbugba; Chief Whip, Hon. Chris Onyenwere; Hon. Chika Collin-Obi; and Hon. Kelechi Nnoaham, alongside other members and associates of the council.

Receiving the delegation, Ibezim expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the council leadership for demonstrating the spirit of unity and cooperation within the party.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for discussions on party cohesion, grassroots mobilisation, effective representation and closer collaboration among party stakeholders.

Soronnadi said the councillors viewed themselves not only as representatives of their respective wards but also as key stakeholders in the political development of Owerri Municipal and Imo State.

He maintained that their loyalty to the APC leadership was anchored on a shared commitment to the development of the state and the strengthening of democratic institutions.

The Council Leader assured that the Owerri Municipal Legislative Council would continue to engage constructively with the party leadership while prioritising the interests of the people and supporting programmes that promote development, peace and good governance.
