Owerri Agog As The First Ever Imo State Productivity Merit Award Holds September 24
After months of intense planning and extensive deliberations and networking, the first ever Imo state productivity merit award will take place on Saturday, September 24 at the prestigious Landmark events centre.
The program which is the brainchild of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity under the leadership of the Commissioner, Chief Prince Ford Ozumba, was approved and supported by the Executive Governor, Distinguished senator Hope Uzodinma.
According to Prince Ford Ozumba, the primary essence and objective of this novel programme is to encourage and boost productivity by recognizing and appreciating Imolites who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavor and impacted positively on the lives of the citizens through employment, empowerment, mentorship and others.
Commissioner Ozumba recalled that since the creation of IMO state, there has never been an occasion where those who excelled both in the public or private sector were deliberately identified and publicly rewarded.

On the programme of events, he assured that maximum security has been put in place and expressed confidence that both awardees and guests will derive the best comfort and joy in a convivial environment.
Prince Ford Ozumba also disclosed that top-notch entertainers have been engaged to spice up the programme.
He announced that the awards are in three categories such as Platinum, Diamond and Gold.
He expressed deep appreciation to the governor for the unwavering support his ministry has been receiving from him which has made the Productivity index of the state to be on a steady rise.
The Commissioner thanked all those who in one way or the other sponsored and supported the programme.
He also congratulated the awardees for scaling the hurdles of screening.
