Orlu Senate: Dr. Uche Onyeoma Ibeh, the Quintessemtial Amazon for Orlu
BY: Sampson Uhuegbu, OWERRI.

Imo West Senatorial District is one of the three political units in Imo State. It encompasses 12 Local Government Areas which includes: Orlu, Orsu, Njaba, Oru East, Oru West, Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, Ideato North, Ideato South, Nkwerre, Isu and Nwangele.
Amongst Owerri and Okigwe, Orlu zone can be said to have suffered unwarranted setback and terribly underrepresented by those that represented the zone in the Upper Legislative Chambers of the National Assembly- hence the need not to repeat such avoidable mistakes this sensitive periods of electioneering and politicking by voting for those selfish cabals.
Again, the good people of Orlu Zone needs a Godfearing Leader; humble Servant, a transparent, experienced, truthful, selfless and a pragmatic leader that will break that long- standing jinx of relegating women to the background of political positions. This time, “KA NWANYI GATUKWANU…meaning: “Let Women Be Given The Chance To Occupy This Position”.
Indeed, Ndi Orlu are desirous of a woman that has a deep knowledge of the developmental problems across the zone; a compassionate cum passionate person that will offer selfless service to her constituents;and run an all- inclusive representation at the National Assembly, Abuja.
After my comprehensive assessments of these political scavengers that are justling for the ” Soul” of Imo West Senatorial seat, I discovered that only Dr Uche Onyeoma Ibeh, who is also vying for Orlu Zone Senate, under the platform of the Labour Party (LP), remains the most capable candidate; generally- accepted, tested, experienced, proven and trusted- owing to her track records in the areas of health, Youths- Capacity Development Programs, Women Empowerment, Philanthropy, etcetera.

Dr. Uche Onyeoma Ibeh
Being a Family Medicine Practitioner, A Doctor of Public Health and a Healthcare Management Consultant, she ranks high above other contenders – considering the fact that many socio- cultural groups and supporters from some embattled political parties in the state, are throwing their weights behind her political ambition.
This woman of unquantifiable integrity is a registered Addictive Medicine/Disorder Specialist, a Project Developer, An Entrepreneur; and an Advocate for Women, Children and Youth Empowerment.
She is committed towards making a difference in repositioning the Healthcare delivery system and thereby reducing the high rates of Maternal, Fatal, Infant Mobility and Mortality in Nigeria.
Cognisance of her sense of leadership, she is bound not to disappoint the people of Zone if she is elected; infact, Dr Uche Onyeoma Ibeh is the only Senatorial candidate, if emerges victorious, would fix Hospitals across the LGAs will be made functional; with modern day medical equipments.
In the year 2007, Dr Ibeh founded Healthcare Foundation at the USA; while in the 2009, she led the African Team of Healthcare Foundation, USA to Nigeria.
In the year 2010, the Healthcare Foundation ( which is her brainchild), became the first Nonprofit organization to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Federal Ministry of Health to partner and implement Health line Maternal Infant Care Program; (an intervention that is aimed at improving Newborn Childcare delivering services).
As a selfless woman endowed with leadership qualities, Onyeoma has organized various Medical missions in the rural areas across Nigeria, held Summits, Seminars, Professional development trainings and Capacity buildings on Maternal Child Health in Nigeria, USA, The Netherlands, Germany, etc.
In 2013, through partnership and Collaborations with the US Doctors for Africa, Dr Ibeh led delegations of the Nigeria First Lady, Aisha Buhari, Hon Minister of The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Development; and her delegates to African First Ladies Health Summit which took place in Los Angeles, California.
In her continued passion to contribute her quota towards the health indices by the year 2020, this woman of integrity initiated a partnership for Maternal & Five Alive Project with the wife of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari’s Future Assured program.
In that capacity, Dr Ibeh also consulted on Maternal Child Health; and the representative of the Wife of the President at the 72nd United Nations General Assembly( UNGA) in 2015.
Ndi Orlu Zone, cast your votes for one of your own, in whom you are well pleased; and she is no other person than Dr Uche Onyeoma Ibeh, the Labour Party Senatorial candidate.Through her effective and righteous representation, the much- needed gains of democracy that had eluded Orlu people would be a thing of the past as she would swung into action by making sure that an unprecedented impacts are positively felt by the political unit. She is accessible and accommodates the low, the middle and the upper classes of people in our society.
Onyeoma has the networks and contacts to pull myriads of international Donor Agencies to Orlu Zone.
