Charles Obinna Foundation Poised to Deliver Over 1,000 Imo Jambites …Flags Off Education support

A charitable organization dedicated to catalyzing socio-economic development in education, housing, and youth empowerment among others, the Charles Obinna Foundation (COF) speaking truth to its core Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on Monday March 4, 2025 flagged of its Free JAMB Registration Support Programme for over 1,000 indigent students selected across the 27 local governments of Imo state with award of instant scholarship and assurances to do more.


The epoch-making flag-off which held at Alvan Ikoku Federal University, Owerri Auditorium marked a significant milestone in the education sector of the state as the programme attracted stakeholders across the education sector as well as deserving and interested students from the 27 local government areas of the state being the first-of-its-kind gesture that cut across the local areas.

According to the COF management, the Education Support is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at bridging the gap in educational access and alleviating financial barriers to tertiary education for 40 academically promising students from each of the Local government areas of the state, adding that the Programme reinforces the foundation’s commitment to advancing Governor Hope Uzodinma’s Shared Prosperity Agenda, which prioritises accessible education and inclusive socio-economic growth.
Presenting the JAMB forms to the beneficiaries at the launch, the Mbaise born Philanthropist and founder of the renowned foundation, Charles Obinna reiterated his commitment to sponsoring as many students who did not only applied for the Education support programme but as many who performed excellently at the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Examinations, noting that his love for humanity knows no bounds hence the establishment of the Charles Obinna Foundation to cater for people’s needs among other initiatives.



“I like helping people and love seeing people happy, and I encourage people a lot, no matter how small, to make sure they have a sense of belonging.
“My budget is 1,300 candidates but as many that applied will be highly accommodated even if they are more than 1,500 candidates.

“I love helping and we will continue doing that, God helping us”
“I made a promise that whoever performs well, we will continue to support because we want our state to be the best in education in the near future”


The Vision bearer of the Charles Obinna Foundation at the event charged the students to lead good lives, shun malpractice/social vices and take their studies seriously, noting that education is the bedrock of growth and development of every society.
Speaking also, the Executive Director of Charles Obinna Foundation (COF) and erudite professor at Lagos Business School, Prof Bongo Adi expressed the goodwill of the foundation to ensure all indigent students across the state benefit from the renowned charitable organization, adding that the 1000 JAMB Support programme is part of the COF’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) packages for Imolites and beyond.


Prof Adi however pointed out that the flag-off is a significant milestone as it marks the foundation’s first full-scale venturing into direct interface with the students to alleviate their pains to access tertiary education.
He said “The Charles Obinna Foundation (COF) strives on its motto of “Empowering Communities, Building Futures” in all dealings hence “the foundation is very formidable and active in human capacity and community building, youth development, women empowerment, social housing programmes as well as agricultural schemes among others”
The erudite professor, however charged the students to always lead good lives and take their studies seriously.


“This is actually the first of our intervention in education and we are going forward to alleviate sufferings of people to access quality tertiary education, and we are starting from home because Charity begins at home while our reach is national”
A student who won an instant Tertiary scholarship from the Foundation (COF) upon good conduct and taking a holistic closing prayer at the flagoff, Miss Victory Enwerem expressed appreciation to God for Divine enablement and to the COF Founder, Charles Obinna as well as the management for their concerns, sincerity of purpose and commitment as she’s prayed God to enlarge their coast.

Miss Enwerem promised to live up to expectations and prayed God to see her through.
