Old Peers of Owerri Dev. Initiative, Abuja Chapter Celebrate End of Year in Grand Style …as Stanley Ekezie, Innocent Ekezie, Innocent Ezuma, Kingsley Elezianya, others honoured
The Old Peers of Owerri Development Initiatives Abuja Chapter recently held their highly anticipated end-of-year party at the vibrant Soho 24 Sports Garden, Kado Abuja marking a festive conclusion to a year of significant community engagement and development projects.
The atmosphere was filled with joy as families and friends gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and to honor individuals who have made notable contributions to the organization and the community.
The event began with a welcome address from the Chairman Mazi Jasper Oparah who reflected on the initiatives undertaken throughout the year, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration among old peers.
“This gathering is not just a celebration; it’s a testament to what we can achieve together for our community,” he stated.
Contînuing the delighted Chairman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all members, their families, and esteemed VIPs who attended the event which was a very successful End-of-Year Party.
“We are proud to have created a platform that fosters camaraderie, networking, and community development. We look forward to continuing this tradition and exploring new ways to give back to our community.” said the Chairman.

The highlight of the event came with the presentation of awards to three distinguished personalities known for their exceptional service and dedication to the Owerri community.
Award Recipients:
1. Chief Sir Stanley Ekezie the Akajimba of Umuenyi was honored with
“Sterling Leadership Award” in recognition of outstanding leadership, dedication, and contributions to Old Peers of Owerri Development Initiative.
2. Chief Dr innocent Ezuma:Prestigious Award for Exceptional Philanthropy
In recognition of Chief Dr. Innocent Ezuma’s outstanding philanthropic contributions to humanity, particularly in Owerri and Imo State.
3. Sir Kingsley Elezieanya
“Distinguished Service Award”
In recognition of exceptional leadership and dedication to Old Peers of Owerri Development Initiative, Abuja Chapter.
The awardees expressed their gratitude for the award and promised to continue to support activities of the association.
Following the award presentations, members enjoyed networking opportunities, engaging discussions about future initiatives, and a sumptuous meal that featured a variety of local delicacies.
Their children played different games including football and won awards.
Special gifts sponsored by Orwell Properties Ltd were given to all children present numbering over hundred.
Members were given special platforms to advertise their businesses free of charge.There were lots of merrymaking, dancin and banters.
The celebration provided a perfect blend of nostalgia and hope, as members reminisced about their shared experiences while looking forward to a promising new year ahead.
