Nwachukwu: Heartland FC Laments Loss of Former General Manager
Heartland FC have expressed deep sorrow over the death of their former General Manager, Promise Uchenna Nwachukwu, describing his passing as a painful loss to the club and Nigerian football.
In a press statement, the club management said it received the news of Nwachukwu’s death with shock, noting that Heartland would always remain grateful for his nearly two decades of dedicated service.
During his time with the club, he served in several capacities, including Assistant Team Manager, Team Manager, Sporting Director and General Manager, contributing immensely to the growth and development of Heartland FC.

The club also acknowledged his wider contribution to Nigerian football as the Coordinator of the NPFL Club Owners Association.
Heartland FC extended their heartfelt condolences to the Nwachukwu family, praying that God grants them the strength and comfort to bear the irreparable loss. The club also appealed for respect for the privacy of the bereaved family as they mourn his passing.
“Promise Nwachukwu will always be remembered for his commitment, loyalty and invaluable service to Heartland FC. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” the club management said.
