NOYO Elect New Executive …As Nzeocha Emerged President

New Owerri Youth organization (NOYO) on Saturday 18th may 2024 held their election at world bank model secondary school where Mr. Kenneth Nzeocha was elected as the substantive president that will pilot affairs of the youth organization for the next 4 years.

Others include, Enyereibe Ugochukwu -Vice President ,Kalu Ugonna Anthony -Secretary, Ibeh Camillius Chibuzo -Treasurer, Obialor Ogechi Jane -Finamcial Secretary,
Cyprain Okoro -Welfare 1, Ozor Donald Obinna -welfare 2,Ozoemena James -Provost 1, Erumole Emeka -Provost 2, Ngoka Chinyere -woman Leader and
Uchenna Opara, People with disabilities.

Speaking, the immediate past president Mr Fredrick Chijioke Ezenagu described the election as the most credible election conducted in the history of NOYO stressing that it was witnessed by all the stakeholders including the police and INEC representative.

“The election is free and fair, no violence or rancor, the turnout was massive, for the first time we are having a smooth transition of power, our youths are becoming passionate in the election process.

“My administration is handing over a lot of asset to the new executives, there is stability in the organization, we have a good data base of our members, it is quite difficult to unite the youths in a complex environment like we have but we overcame all the challenges.

He further congratulated the new president and his executives while advising them to consolidate on the existing structures and ensure that everybody is carried along in his tenure.

The chairman of the electoral committee Mr. Stanley Ihekwoaba posited that the winner is genuine while the election was conducted in a peaceful manner.

According to him, all the contestants are members of NOYO and I believe that the winners will join hand with everyone to move the organization forward.

He also noted that infrastructures and roads in world bank area are in bad shape and appealed to the commissioner of works Barr. Ralph Nwosu and the governor Sen. Hope Uzodinma to urgently come to their rescue whereas he encouraged the newly elected executive of NOYO to Partner with the state government and relevant organization to rebuild the confidence of the new Owerri youths.

In his response, the president of New Owerri Youth Organisation NOYO Mr Kenneth Nzeocha of area N world bank described his victory as divine and will of the people stressing that he will not relent on delivering his seven point agenda which includes security, environmental sanitation, youth empowerment and others.

“I promise my people that any of the campaign agenda I don’t achieve within my one year in office they should call for my impeachment, my victory is for everyone and administration will be all inclusive, he concluded.
