Nigeria@59: Secretary to Imo Govt, Uche Onyeaguocha Calls for Unity Among Nigerians
-APPLAUDS GOVERNOR IHEDIOHA ON HIS OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN OFFICE SO FAR.
-CALLS FOR THE SUSTAINANCE OF THE LEGACIES OF THE NATION’S HEROES PAST.
The Secretary to Imo State Government, Honourable Uche Onyeagucha has felicitated with the state Governor, Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha KSC, CON and other Nigerians on the celebration of Nigeria’s 59th Independence Anniversary and exit from the clutches of British colonialism.
The SGI who conveyed his greeting in a press release signed by his Special Assistant on media, Prince MacDonald Enwere said the Independence celebration serves as another opportunity for Nigerians to look beyond the ethnic diversity but work for a common goal as indivisible entity.
Hon Onyeagucha also eulogized the Governor for his outstanding performance and achievements in office since May 29.
He applauded him for demostrating a sound leadership capacity, administrative proficiency and esteemed passion for Rebuilding Imo state, describing him as a man of great ideas with penchant for excellence and track record of being associated with progress and development of the state.
Hon Onyeagucha further called on Nigerians to always consolidate on the efforts and sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers with resolute commitments and dedication.
“This year’s Independence celebration provides us with another opportunity to reassess and reflect deeply on the pillars that have held us together as an indivisible entity and work for the growth, stability and unity of our dear country. We must uphold the ideolologies of our alliance and the foundation of our nationhood above ethno-religious and socio-cultural sentiments”
He further stated that building a virile nation remains synonymous with actualising development and later urged Nigerians to look towards promoting the tenets of good leadership, sustainable democracy and responsible citizenship which are indispensable contrivance and critical pillars for sociopolitical development.
The Secretary to the State Government later called on Imolites to use the occasion of this year’s Nigeria’s Independence Anniversary to re-appreciate God for giving the State a leadership that will not only leave its footprint on the sands of time but take Imo state to greater heights through dints of hardwork, dedication and esteemed commitment to state affairs.
