New State Creation: Anioma State is all encompassing -Uwaezuoke

The Orlu Senatorial District candidate in the 2023 general eelections under the National Rescue Movement (NRM) in the person of Chief Stephen CY Uwaezuoke has described the new creation of another State in South East part of Nigeria as a welcome development but of the opinion that it should be called ANIOMA STATE which is very encompassing in other to give all the Igbo speaking people a sense of belonging.

Uwaezuoke emphasized that having Anioma State will have more face than Orlu State which seems sectional or relating only to Orlu people.

He opined that our Igbo sons and daughters spread across the country should be recovered/brought to our fold.

Uwaezuoke recalled that Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Bayelsa States and others in South-South duly have Igbo speaking people as they are scattered in the whole country.

According to him, most of the States are oil producing areas and “we need them in the map of geo-political zone of the South East”

Speaking further, the philanthropist who acknowledged that he is from Imo State and Orlu precisely stressed that having Orlu State will not give the people the much dividend of democracy they are agitating for, hence called on Ohanaeze Ndigbo and well meaning Igbo sons and daughters all over the world to support Anioma State.

Chief Stephen CY Uwaezuoke cited Okowa, Fubara Sim and host of others who acknowledged that they are Igbos openly and speaks Igbo language should not be left out.

He commended those championing for the creation of another State in South East but urged them to champion Anioma State for the benefit of all and when that is done, the peace, love and unity will abound among brothers and sisters.

“Those supporting Orlu State should desist and join hands to champion Anioma State”, he concluded.
