IMHA: Engr. BSK Emetom Pledges Quality Representation For Owerri North …Makes Case For Women In Politics

Engr. Kingsley Emetom, Imo State House of Assembly aspirant for Owerri North seat on the platform of Accord Party (AP) made a promise for a quality and qualitative representation, if elected into the legislative arm of the state.

BSK Emetom made the pledge in Owerri when he interacted with a section of the media at the weekend opting for effectively legislative roles for Owerri North local government area at the State Assembly.

To buttress what the Egbu- born House of Assembly aspirant termed as grassroots- servant-leader method, BSK Emetom posited that he would squarely attract robust socio-economic activists in all the communities in Owerri North local government area which he said shall capture functional transformers, link roads, good sanitary services, health- care delivery and organized security apparatus.

The aspirant expressed worry that the number of women in Owerri zone vying for elective positions in different political parties are not enormous even upon the special treatment meted out to them in respect of expression of interests.

While he is urging for more women participation in the upcoming 2027 elections and contest for elective positions through their various political parties, he praised the courage and focus of those of them from different political parties among who include Chief Mrs Betty- Anyanwu Akeredolu, a senatorial aspirant; Hon. Mrs Ndidi Iheme, nee Njemanze, a Federal House of Representatives Aspirant and a few others.

He reassured that he would use his good offices to evoke interests in the legislative chamber to positively anchor on their welfare and schemes that concern women generally and the indigent widows in particular.

The aspirant fondly called ‘Iyi gbadoro Iyi’ disclosed his plans to attract scholarship schemes in the course of the academic pursuits of the children of Owerri North most especially the orphans and the less privileged.

He went further saying that he would use his legislative strength to fix the youths into meaningful employments, skills and as well as enhance the businesses of those of them in different trades.

His aim would be to maximize the utilisation of the talents and capacity of the youths to actualize their areas of endeavours and attract support to them from different legitimate quarters.
