National President IMT Enugu Alumni Association inaugurates Imo State Chapter new executives

The inauguration of the Institute of Management &Technology (IMT) Enugu Alumni Association Imo State Chapter has taken place at Government Secondary School Owerri recently.

Speaking, the Chairman of the occasion Chief Silas Ekpe described the event as a welcome development, a step in the right direction as he commended the members of the Alumni Association for gracing the occasion which was a huge success.

Chief Ekpe who is also a product of the Institution stated that he remained a proud product of IMT which he identified as a great citadel of learning as they always carry their shoulders high anywhere they found themselves.
He congratulated the new executives and membersfor coming together to make the event a success.

Chief Ekpe urged them to be exceptional and always outstanding both in workforce or other areas of their endeavours.

Inaugurating the executives,the National President of the Alumni Association Mazi Dr. Agodi Kanu congratulated the executives and the organisers for conducting a free, fair credible election that produced the executives that would pilot the affairs of the association for a period of 3 years. which includes: Comrade Destiny Akunesi Chairman, Hon Uchechi Akandu, Vice Chairman, Onyinyechi Amakulo, Secretary, Chinwe Uzoma Assistant Secretary, Gift Uchechukwu Financial Secretary, Ikenna Amaka Treasurer, Ejiogu

Chika Auditor, Obinna Gladys Social Secretary, Albert Nwoke, Publicity Secretary while Ike Royal is the Provost.

Mr Agodi expressed optimism that the executives have the capability and all it takes to discharge their duties effectively and move the association forward.

The National President further charged the chairman to carry the members of the alumni along in the scheme of things, urging him to be transparent, while members were urged to support and cooperate with the executives so that together they will move the association forward.

In his remarks, the Chairman IMT Enugu Alumni Association Imo State Chapter Comrade Destiny Akunesi thanked the Almighty God for making the day a reality adding, that it is truly a privilege to serve in such capacity and deeply humbled by the trust and confidence the association have placed in him.

Mr Akunesi reiterated that he is committed to working tirelessly to uphold the values and traditions of their alma mater as they embark on this chapter together, he is eager to work with everyone to enhance their programmes/initiative and together would create a vibrant, inclusive network that promotes life long connections and opportunities for personal/professional growth.

The Chairman posited that with the members support as well as their collaboration, they can achieve great things as a united alumni community, make a difference, leave a lasting impact on their alma mater as he commended the National President Dr Agodi Kanu and other members of the National Executive Committee for the support they have given them so far as and enjoined all hands to be on deck in order to move the association to an enviable height.

Highlight of the event was the unveiling of the banner/logo of the state chapter of the alumni and cutting of the inauguration cake.
