My Political Opponents are Drowning in Jealousy Over My Achievements, says Ezeruo ||| NEWS CORNER

The Interim Management Committee Chairman, Ohaji/Egbema local government area, Imo state, Hon Ezeruo Damian, says his political opponents are drowning in jealousy over his outstanding achievements at the locality within short time in Office.

Ezeruo said the building of state-of-the-art Secretariat and Stadia at the local government council headquarters, Mmahu, which are nearing completion plus the sustenance of existing peace and other gainful things he initiated are majorely the cause of the envy and hatred against him and the PDP led administration.

Ezeruo reflected that his political opponents could not do any tangible project at the area since eight (8) wasted years they controlled the council.

Ezeruo disclosed this while reacting to a stage -managed protest staged by some youths of Assa and Obile autonomous commuties, recently in Owerri.

Retrospectively, a section of Action Alliance, AA and All Progressives Congress, APC youths of Assa and Obile communities, Ohaji/Egbema, peacefully protested to the Imo State House of Assembly, demanding fresh election for the Office of President- Generals in which they alleged that Ezeruo Damian imposed his men as President- Generals without following proper election process.

But Ezeruo Damian had clearly denied involving in such a mess, regretting that the protesters are driven by envy as he warned them against being misled in doing mischief to themselves, calling on parents to be mindful of the activities of their children in order to better their lives.

The Ohaji/Egbema LGA Boss, maintained that “the protesters are drowning people who were hired by political opportunists and given peanuts to malign me on the streets and in the media. Because they are afraid and envious of my outstanding achievements so far. They always want to be in every government hence their negative aim. They are ignorantly opposed to the Rebuild Imo Government being championed by Governor Emeka Ihedioha, instead of supporting it. They are APC and AA thugs who are afraid of the strength of PDP. They are liars”.

Ezeruo did not mince his words as he restated his resolve to rendering human-oriented service to the good people of Ohaji/Egbema while urging them to always ignore the antics of the defeated opposition who he accused of draining the economy of the locality and the State at large, leaving helpless people to suffer untold hardship.

Ezeruo told his people to continue to lend credence to the Rebuild Imo Administration for the good of the State while praying God to continue to strengthen and direct Governor Emeka Ihedioha and his team to always work effectively to the betterment of Imo society.
