Issuance Of Passport: Imo Residents Now Enjoy Prompt Processing —Uduak
It is no hype that just a visit to Nigeria Immigration Service, Imo State Command Owerri should give all reassurance as the Command has, in recent times, shown resilience in changing the ugly narratives of Passport processing in the state amid daunting challenges.
In the foregoing, the residents of the State have heaved serious sighs of relief because of tremendous improvement in passport processing.
Recall that Imo State has been on record over the years as one of the major States with high applications for passports to the extent that nearby States also receive several applicants from the State.
It could so be recalled that earlier this year, before the posting of the present Passport Control Officer Uduak Usoro, several complaints had been in the public domain owing to several bottlenecks in the processing of passports in the State.

However, many technical issues that caused delays and, in most cases, hampered Passport processing in the state are being rectified for optimal service delivery.
Consequent upon her arrival in the State as the Passport Control Officer, Deputy Comptroller Uduak Usoro, with the full support of her boss, Comptroller Patrick Ebegbune, applied all her expertise in the system to see that delays and long queues become things of the past.
Usoro, a vibrant and energetic Officer, has proven commitment, capacity, and integrity, hence has made it possible for people to acquire passports in the record time set by the Federal Government.
However, several challenges have remained prevalent in the Imo State command of Nigeria Immigration Service because the command is still operating in the federal Secretariat.
