ISOPADEC: Nze Ferdinand Enjoins Imo Communities to go Back to Agriculture

This is disclosed by a concerned native of Umuokane, Ohaji/Egbema local government area, Imo State, Nze Ferdinand Amanze when he received in audience the members of Niger Delta Media Forum, who paid him a courtesy visit at his home, Umuokane, Ohaji, last Friday.
Nze Amaze hinted that there are a lot of benefits attached to agriculture so that serious farmers are economically viable and independent with them feeding satisfactorily, as they will always look healthy and be emotionally stable to do the right thing in order to shun militancy, which he frownly attributed to sheer neglect of government and the Oil and Gas Companies operating at the hydrocarbon region of Imo State.
The entrepreneur, who has been in the vanguard of assisting his people, regretted that agriculture has been overlooked and in most cases jettisoned by both government and the people, hence hardship and insecurity, but expressed hope that Governor Emeka Ihedioha and his Deputy, Hon Gerald Ironna, have priority on bringing back agriculture with Adapalm, Imo Rubber, Obitti, Avutu Obowo Poultry Farm among others being revamped, stating that agriculture or farming such as Animal Husbandry, Poultry, Cultivation of Crops, Palm or Economic Trees, Fishery and more ought to be focused on even as the Governor is paying much attention on Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta.
He called on the government to fix the health care centres, roads, electricity to spur the people on productive ventures.
In his words, “economy of Imo State can improve if the people can produce abundantly with government encouraging them financially an morally. If government can manage Adapalm, Rubber, Poultry, as well as invest effectively through industry and commerce, education and sports, the state will improve economically with advancement on social amenities and security”.
Nze Amanze regretted that unemployment has been an evil wind which blows the state dirty, a thing he added contributes to society crisis, promising to set up Football Team to positively engage youths of Ohaji, Egbema, Oguta and Oru- West as he vowed to personally sustain the feat to beat insecurity.
He therefore solicited the help of government, media and religious organizations, traditional rulers and other well-to-do individuals across ISOPADEC and Imo State in extension to assist in training youths and women on skills so that they compete favourably to address penury and insecurity which bedevil the society.
The concerned indigene of ISOPADEC, Nze Ferdinand Amanze, thus begged the Niger Delta Media Forum to effectively use the media to correct the battered image in their area caused by past government who he accused of playing dirty politics with the resources and welfare of the people, decrying dearth of social amenities and insecurity at the oil and gas bearing areas of Imo State.
