IMSU Alumni to Hold Global Convention August 2020 in Abuja

In its effort to continue to add to the growth of Imo State University, Owerri, the IMSU Alumni Association, has concluded plans to hold 3days Global Convention in August, 2020 at Abuja.
The 3days fiesta tagged 'Global Convention, Abuja 2020', will highlight the talents, beauty and pageantry of members of IMSU Alumni Association from across the world.
Speaking in Owerri, the Imo State capital, on Tuesday, President of IMSU Alumni Association,Prince Ezeala Ferdinand Akano,said the convention would afford members the chance to reunite, network, brainstorm, exchange ideas on ways to improve their wellbeing and that of the University.
Akano who added that the fiesta will also help members take stock and project for the future, informed that the IMSU Alumni Association would "hold an annual general meeting during the convention. So, we call on the media, corporate organizations and development institutions to partner with the IMSU Alumni Association-- in terms of sponsorship and strategic engagement for the convention which promises to be filled with quality content and value addition".

President of IMSU Alumni Association,Prince Ezeala Ferdinand AkanoSaluting members of the IMSU Alumni Association across the globe for their solid efforts and support through sacrificial givings and unquantifiable goodwill, which they bring to bear in all their activities, Akano informed that "there are currently Ten (10) chapters of IMSU Alumni Association comprising Abia, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Lagos, Rivers States, FCT Abuja, Europe and North America", saying the association is development oriented as it partners relevant bodies to lift their Alma Mater to enviable heights for the progress and good of the society.
The IMSU Alumni Association while revealing that it harnesses its capacity in pooling resources together to assist IMSU through technical support and scholarship, as well as holding government to account and raise the consciousness of the officials in governance through program advocacy especially those that have to do with the development of learning and research in Imo State University, Owerri, called on the Imo State Government led by Governor Emeka Ihedioha to step up and intervene.
"IMSU Law Faculty Building right now is almost in a state of urgent intervention."
IMSU Alumni Association, according to Akano, has assumed a global dimension and has become an international brand while appealing to the public especially members to endeavor to participate in the convention.
