Imo SWAN Mourns Former Heartland GM, Promise Nwachukwu

The Imo State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has mourned the death of former Heartland FC General Manager, Promise Uchenna Nwachukwu.

In a statement jointly signed by the chapter’s Chairman, Cosmos Chukwuemeka, and Secretary, Tunde Liadi, the association described Nwachukwu as a dedicated football administrator who made significant contributions to the growth of Heartland FC and Nigerian football.

The late Nwachukwu was also recognised for his role in football administration, having served as Coordinator of the NPFL Club Owners Association.

Chukwuemeka said Nwachukwu’s death was a major loss to the football community, noting that his passion and commitment to the development of the sport would be remembered.

“We have lost a committed football administrator whose passion and selfless service left a lasting impact on Heartland FC and the Nigerian game,” he said.

The Imo SWAN Chairman, while commiserating with Nwachukwu’s family, friends, colleagues, and the wider football community, prayed for strength for those mourning his death.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire football community. May God grant them the strength to bear this painful loss, and may his soul rest in perfect peace,” Chukwuemeka said.
