Imo SWAN commends Rochas for Funding Heartland FC
The Imo State Council of the Sports Writers Association, SWAN has commended the State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for funding Heartland FC thereby enabling it to participate in the on-going premier league in the country.

The Commendation is contained in a Statement issued in Owerri by the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Iheanyi Emesowum.
He also appealed to the Governor to make funds available to assist the club recruit quality players to fortify the team for the second stanza of the league as Imolites would not like the club to go into relegation again at the end of the league.
Mr. Emesowum drew the attention of the Governor to the bad shape of both the Dan Anyiam and Grasshopper’s Handball Stadia pointing out that a situation where fans of Heartland FC are deprived of watching their darling team play in Owerri, their home base because of bad pitch does not augur well for the State.
The SWAN Chairman who lauded the exploits of the team so far in the league insisted that a lot still needed to be done to bring the team to the standard of a Premier League club.
He advised the management of the club to work as a family and always shun sentiments, rumour mongering and sacrificing merit on the altar of mediocrity to enable the club maintain an enviable position in the Premier League at the end of the season.
