Imo indigenes enjoined to embrace Urbanization programme– ISOA
Imo indigenes are called upon to embrace the urban renewal programme of the state government.
The Director of information and Strategy Imo State Orientation Agency, Mr. Vincent Ihejieto made this call while addressing Local government Orientation Officers in his office.
He said the urban renewal programme should be seen as a vision that will bring development, attract more investors, tourists and economic boom in the state.
Mr. Ihejieto advised Orientation officers to educate the people especially students and pupils t be more careful while crossing some of the expanded roads, and urged traders to desist from selling their goods along the highways.
He prayed the various transport managers to make use of the various bus stops and motor parks provided for them and to drive with utmost care especially during the school closing hours and when approaching public institutions that are on roads, so that the urban renewal project would be beneficial to all.
Meanwhile, the Transition Committee Chairman of Owerri West Local Government, Mr. Victor Osigwe has pledged to support the activities of Imo State Orientation Agency IN THE Area.
Mr Osigwe made the pledge when the out-going Orientation Officer for Owerri West, Mr. Okechukwu Onyeme paid him a courtesy visit.
Mr. Onyeme said he came to inform him of his transfer, as well as introduce the new Orientation officer. Mr Kelechi Onyeka to him.
