As the Imo State governorship election draws closer, there has been a torrent of endorsements of the candidacy of Sir Okey Ezeh of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, by hundreds of groups.

Latest in this gale of endorsements is the coalition of Imo non-indigenous groups, led by the Oba of the Yoruba Community in Imo State, His Royal Highness Oba Oladeji Musibau Ajadi, which visited Ezeh’s campaign office in Owerri on Thursday to affirm their support.

Speaking, the revered monarch stated that what informed the decision of the non-indigenes in Imo State to endorse Okey Ezeh is his inimitable vision to reposition Imo for the benefit of all.

He decried the level of bad governance in Imo, saying among the array of governorship candidates the only person who possesses the technical know-how to get Imo back to the path of progress is Okey Ezeh.

Oba Oladeji called on all Imolites to come out on the 9th of March in their hundreds of thousands to vote SDP.

In his remarks, Ezeh bemoaned the economic retrogression of Imo, adding that the once glorious state called Imo today occupies the top positions in all the indices of social and economic misery.
