Hope Uzodinma Rejects Governorship Election Result

The Imo APC guber candidate in the March 9 election, Senator Hope Uzodinma has ourightly rejected the election results in the state and vowed to challenge the outcome in court.

Uzodinma who is making his first official statement six days after the Saturday election and the official declaration of Emeka Ihedioha as governor-elect for Imo state the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, did not reflect the figures obtained by his agents at the various polling units in the state.

He expressed worry why a return was made when some results are yet to be declared while disclosing that collation officers, different from those already listed by INEC, were brought in a day after the election, which according to him compromised the process.

The APC candidate dissociated himself and the party from the claim that he congratulated Emeka Ihedioha and from a viral video purported to be a victory party for the PDP candidate describing them all as lies and blackmail meant to destroy his personality.
