High Chief Igbokwugharia Chilaka goes home Dec 26
The remains of late High Chief Igbokwuagharia Eugene Chilaka, son of the Paramount Ruler of Mbaise, Chilaka Ukpo will be laid to rest on 26th December, 2020 in his compound at Umunama Autonomous Community in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State after a requiem mass in his honour by Catholic Church of the East.
In a press statement by his first son, Prince Chinenyeze Chilaka PhD, the last sage died on the 12th day of September, 2020 at the age of 82.
Prince Chilaka said his late father was a devout Christian who held the virtues of peace, unity and brotherly love so dear to himself.
According to the statement, the last patriarch of the Chilaka Ukpo dynasty was a retired civil servant as well as a labour and community leader in his active years.
Left to mourn him are: his wife, Lolo Margret Chilaka and his seven children among whom are Prince Chinenenyeze Chilaka, former Governorship aspirant in Imo State and Rev Fr Modestus Chiedozie Chilaka among others.
