One of the Senior Special Assistants to Governor Hope Uzodimma, Hon Chief Mrs Ifeoma Ndukwu, has described Governor Hope Uzodimma as a God- fearing, generous and easy- going leader who flows with human meekness having helped many to calve a niche for themselves and families.
She stated this in an interview with our reporter during a Three Days Retreat organized for Executive Members and other top Government Officials, held at Imo Concorde Hotel, Owerri, last week, with the theme “Re- Energizing Imo Towards Sustainable Development – a Collective Action”.
Mrs Ndukwu who appraised the Governor for doing well so far having retained some of the human- oriented projects initiated by the past administration especially road projects, gave him kudos for strengthening peace, security and cooperation in the State, a feat she said has been radiating joy and happiness across the State.
The Orlu local government area born active politician, emphasized that the Reconstruction, Reconciliation and Recovery agenda of the Hope Uzodimma led administration are germane to developing the State and bringing succour and comfort to citizens.
“As you can see, Governor Hope Uzodimma consolidated the reconstruction of bad roads started by Hon Emeka Ihedoha having retained the contractors who he asked to continue work.
“Although government is a continuum, hence he continued from where Ihedioha stopped. I pray that everybody cues in and supports the present government because it is sinquanone that his administration succeeds for the good of the people”.
Ndukwu while expressing appreciation to the Governor for organizing the retreat, hinted that she has learnt new lessons that will guide her properly to effectively discharge her assigned duty, saying learning is a continue process.
“I hope to perform well when given portfolio. Of course, the Governor is my boss who I learn from. I follow his footsteps. As one of his SSAs, I really appreciate him for being gender- friendly and his good deeds to the people and for organizing the program”, Mrs Ndukwu stressed.
She prayed that God, in His infinite mercy, strengthens the Governor to efficiently meet his goal of transforming Imo State positively so that peace, comfort and cordiality to continue to reign supreme.
