Father’s Day: St. Mark’s Cath. Parish New Owerri CMO Set to mark 2025 Day …to honor Osuagwu, Eshiogu, Madu, Ntamere and Nwankwo with Distinguished Service Awards …As Chidiadi Ibeh Chairs the Occasion

All is now set for the ground finale marking the 2025 Catholic Men’s Organization, CMO Day Celebration of St. Mark Catholic Church, New Owerri, Imo State billed for May 4, 2025.
The ceremony which will start with a Holy Mass at the church will feature award presentations to five (5) distinguished members of the the CMO fold who have over the years shown themselves approved in different areas of human endeavors and service to God and church at large.
The awardees are said to be the pillars behind initiating professional and stabilizing ideas as well as mobilizing resources to the success of the church from inception.
The awardees include Builder Dr Andy Osuagwu KSJI and Marcel Eshiogu who were nominated based on their selfless and sacrificial services to the church in project management and attracting road projects in the locality within the church.


Dr Osuagwu’s nomination letter reads “”Most Outstanding Service Award” on Project Management, Innovative and Selfless service to St. Mark’s parish”, while Mr Eshiogu’s letter reads “”Most Outstanding Service Award” on Giant and Selfless Development stride to St. Mark’s parish and it’s environ”.
Other awardees nominated for their most outstanding services to God and Church Bro Emeka Ntamere and the former President of Catholic Women’s Organization, CWO, of St Mark Catholic parish, Chief Mrs Lauretta Adaure Madu (Odera), and Engr. Anthony Nwankwo respectively.

Their letters read: “Most Outstanding Service Award” on Innovatives and Selfless service to St. Mark parish (Bro Emeka Ntamere), “Most Outstanding Service Award” on Leadership and Mobilization service to St. Mark parish (Chief Mrs Lauretta Adaure Madu {Odera})”, and “”Most Outstanding Service Award” on Ingenious Contributions, Selfless and long service to St. Mark parish (Engr. Anthony Nwankwo)”.

According to the Chairman of the Planning Committee for the annual event and former Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Imo State, Chief Christopher Akaraonye, the awards are unalloyedly based on their immeasurable contributions to the growth and development of the church and her members.
“This prestigious award recognizes your outstanding achievements to St. Mark parish, and we believe that your work embodies the spirit of this honor.

“The St Mark CMO is impressed by your innovative and selfless services to the parish
“Your dedication, passion, and leadership have made a significant impact to St. Mark Catholic community and her environs, and we are honored to recognize your contributions”, Chief Akaraonye added.
He thanked the parish priest Rev. Fr. Frankline Mbah for approving the recognition of the members and for supporting the committee in releasing all the programmes lined up for this year’s CMO day in St. Mark.
Chief Akaraonye also thanked the chairman of St Mark CMO Dr. Kingsley Echendu for always being there for the committee.
The Guest of Honour at the occasion will be the Chairman of Ehime Mbano LGA, Hon. Uche Nwodu while Cmdr Chidiadi Ibeh will chair the event.

Sir Chidiadi Ibeh is the Vice Chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council of St Mark Parish and one of the strong supporters of the CMO in the Parish.
In his speech, the Vice Chairman of the planning committee, Brother Chukwuma Nwaohiri thanked the members of the parish for supporting the programmes for this year’s CMO celebration in St. Mark’s and invite all to attend the ground finale where the CMO will entertain the parishioners.
