Enugu-Born Businessman, Chief Igbokwe Linus Ogbonnaya, Receives Honorary Doctorate Award

Chief Igbokwe Linus Ogbonnaya, also known as Omengboji 1 of Uhueze Nenwe in Aninri Local Government Area, Enugu State, has been honored with an honorary doctorate degree from Alive Theological Seminary of Nigeria, Owerri, Imo State. The institution is an affiliate of Godlian University, Dallas, Texas, USA.
Chief Ogbonnaya, a prominent businessman and philanthropist based in Aba, Abia State, received the prestigious award during the seminary’s convocation, matriculation, ordination, and award ceremony.
After receiving the award, Chief Ogbonnaya expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the seminary for recognizing his contributions. He attributed the honor to his commitment to the socio-economic development of his community, state, and the nation as a whole.
“It is fulfilling to be recognized for one’s dedication,” he remarked, encouraging others to stay focused and work towards making meaningful contributions to society.

Chief Ogbonnaya also reaffirmed his dedication to both God and humanity, vowing to redouble his efforts in his philanthropic endeavors.
Speaking at the event, the Chancellor of the seminary, Bishop Professor Uzoma Emmanuel Afamefuna, highlighted that the award was given in recognition of the recipients’ significant contributions to the work of God and their service to humanity. He encouraged the honorees to continue in their noble pursuits.
The ceremony was well-attended by friends, family, business associates, and other distinguished guests.
