The awards of excellence, according to the organisers were said to be tokens of encouragement to the duo among other sixty-five (65) awardees out over Two Hundred (200+) parishes in the diocese for their immense contributions to the work of God both in their parish and Archdiocese in general.

Expressing joy over the ‘Ambassadorial’ award given to him, Builder Dr. Andy Osuagwu lauded OACCMO for the Diocesan recognition, noting that he was totally overwhelmed by the gesture.
“I felt humbled and elated at the same time. I thank God for his grace, for having this privilege to be selected as one of those who will be given this award or who have been given this award as ambassador of Christ. I pray God to give me the grace to live out the faith.

“For the organizers, I thank them so much. The whole thing is so organized that everywhere is orderly”
Builder Dr. Osuagwu however advised CMO members across boards to continue to run the Christian race in truth and in spirit, to reach their goals while commending the organising committee for a job well done.
“My advice to members of the CMO is that we should continue to run the race. All of us are in it together because as fathers in the church, we have strong roles, a lot of responsibilities go about.

“The fathers responded to the call, and everybody is listening to all the instructions given by the president”, he stated.
Also receiving his Ambassador of Faith award, Barrister Nwobi Chima Hyde who described the award as very rewarding, and soul lifting, said the honour shall spur him and other awardees to not only do more but give their best in the service of God in order to get the ultimate reward from God.

“When you work in the house of God, in the vineyard of God, and such things come, you are taking it as part of the future you are building for yourself and for the community.
“All things are from God. They are in God and for God. So we work for God and we’re in God and we’re for God”
Barrister Nwobi while commending the fathers of faith for pillars in society, equally urged them not to relent in their duties as it takes persistence to reach the goal of service to God and humanity.

“…so my advice to all fathers is that we should always be good fathers to our community, to our home, to our parents, to our children, to everybody. That’s what makes society worth living in.
Cheering Barrister Hyde Nwobi and Builder Andy Osuagwu, among other awardees, the Chairman, Parish Pastoral Council, St. Mark’s Parish, New Owerri, Chief Dominic Okoro said the “Ambassador of Faith” awards given to the duo are well deserved as they have shown themselves approved by their works and sacrifices in St. Mark’s Parish as well as the Archdiocese.

Chief Okoro extolled the leadership of Owerri Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Men Organisation, OACCMO, for their vision and insight to single out deserving ones for recognition and prayed God to continue to guide them.
“It’s a very good award and the two of them are deserving. They’ve done so many good works for St. Mark’s Parish and I’m very happy that Archdiocese has recognized this contribution by this award. I’m so happy about it.

“The organizers have done well. This is our church. One good thing about it is to give these honors, lift people up, lift their faith, their contributions, everything the church.
“So the organizers have done well and they did a good study of the entire diocese and have come up with names; about 65 men in the diocese out of over 200 parishes.
So you would know.”It’s a very good choice they made and I think they’ve got the best of the people. I’m happy with them”, Chief Okoro concluded.
