A high-level think-tank get-together of various cultural and social organizations in Ikeduru led by their leaders held on Sunday 20th July 2025 at Amakohia Ikeduru.

The aim of the meeting was to ensure that Ikeduru speaks with one voice in order to support and complement the efforts of the State Government and Ikeduru Local Government in the development of Ikeduru.
Present at the meeting were the traditional rulers, members of Odinma Ikeduru Cultural Organization, Ikeduru Country Club, Ikeduru Renaissance Club of Nigeria, Ikeduru Community Youth Organization, Ikeduru Development Association, and Ikeduru Patriotic Union and other prominent individuals.
After a thought-provoking address by the convener and host, His Excellency Maj. Gen. CRU Ihekire, rtd OMC(Rwanda) JP. which centered on the need for Ikeduru to speak with one united voice, to tackle its developmental challenges as tenable in other areas in Imo State, it was resolved as follows:-
- that for Ikeduru to achieve development it is craving for, speaking with one united voice is necessary.
- that the leaders of various associations in Ikeduru, in consultation with our traditional rulers should form a steering committee to ensure that a united body with one voice is actualized.
- that His Excellency, Maj. Gen. CRU Ihekire rtd OMC (Rwanda) JP. would lead the emerging umbrella organizations.
- that the umbrella body would address the developmental challenges of Ikeduru, including bad roads and youth unemployment by setting up an Ikeduru Development Committee.
