CityLight International School Marks 2024 Graduation Amid Glitz and Glamour

One of the frontline International standard group of schools in Owerri; Citylight international school, located at No. 1 Citylight Close, Uba Orogwe Owerri West Local Government Area, Imo State has marked her 2024 Graduation amid glitz and glamour that could be best witnessed than described.

The graduation party which took place at the school premises on Saturday July 27, 2024 showcased loads of intellectual prowess of the students and pupils as guests, family and friends got entertained.

Accompanying the big event which was lit up with candlelights to cheer the graduands, was an award-giving segment where five notable personalities namely Mr Samuel Osigwe, Mr Sebastine Ndubuisi Ihemedu, Mr Paul Kanu O., Lady Nkiru Scholar and Dr Sylvester James Ogbaji were conferred with awards of Excellence in recognition for their immense and unwavering contributions to the growth and development of the school while inducting them as members of the Advisory Board.

In his address, the Proprietor of CityLight International Schools, Pastor Wilson Nwaneri who commended the graduands for their dedication to studies, congratulatedthem for diligently reaching the academic milestone, while thanking God for the gift of life and success of the day’s outing.

In his words, “the students performed credibly well and we are very proud of them”

Pastor Nwaneri however extolled the parents and guests of honour for honouring their invitation as he charged awardees amongst them who according to him have been of immense support to the school; to keep it up for the benefit of the student and pupils in particular as the the school and society at large.

“In fact, today was a huge success and we thank God for everything for He really helped us.

“We honoured some dignitaries in society who have been friends to the school, who have been supporting and encouraging us, assisting and helping the school in so many ways”

He equally commended the teachers for their inputs despite all odds to lift the schools and prayed for more strength and God’s abundant blessings to impact more on the students and pupils; noting that he is “Proud of them all”.

Also commending the graduands, the Principal of the school, Mrs Mercy Enyi said “the students and pupils have really worked hard hence deserve all accolades from all sundry, adding that the teachers are not left out as they are wonderful people of a kind who have shown capacity over time in discharging their duties as the students and pupil’s guide.

“We have all worked hard to bring the school up to is current status”

The Principal charged the graduands to live up to expectations to be great ambassadors in society.

Speaking to the people, the Vice Principal Academics, Mrs Emmanuel Linda who assessed the overall performance of the students and pupils of the school, noted that “they did very well and the hope is very high for improvement”

She said their performances are remarkably positive with serial competition which changed their marking scheme hence advised them to sustain the tempo.

One of the parents, Mr Stephen Onuoha from Amaraku Isiala Mbano LGA who noted that the standard of education in the school is topnotch owing to the evident and laudable impact in his three Children, commended the management and staff for their tutelage.

He added that the school is not short of its motto “…….” as he gets returns on his investment.

“Seeing the Performance of the students and pupils from different classes…they did excellently well which shows that the teachers and management of the school knows their onus”

“I am happy to have my Children school here and encourage other parents who don’thave their Children and wards in CityLight International Schools to bring them here as they will be inculcated with the right trainings to be better individuals”

He commended the management and staff for their efforts while urging them to keep the flag flying.

The graduands and students who spoke to newsmen during the big event expressed happiness for passing through the institution which they roundly noted have indeed impacted them academically, morally, physically and otherwise.

They thanked God for the day while dedicating their feats to their parents as well as appreciatig them for their show of love to have them educated at Citylight International School.
