Christians Told to Remain Faithful to God, Evangelical Baptist Association, IBC Inaugurated at Obosima

Evangelical Baptist Association, Imo Baptist Conference, has been inaugurated with the induction of its officers.

The inauguration which was held last Saturday at Higher Ground Baptist Church, Obosima, Ohaji/Egbema, local government area, Imo State, saw the believers jubilating and thanking God for making the occasion possible.

The Conference was witnessed by people from far and near, both children and mothers of Baptist Church who were colorfully dressed.

While inaugurating Evangelical Baptist Association and its Officials, President, Imo Baptist Conference, Rev. CA Nwaosu, charged them to be serious and committed to the work of God as they engineer the programs of the Association to attain common objective while forging ahead.

Nwaosu who maintained that Evangelical Baptist Association is equal to a Diocese having regrouped from an existing Conference, “Basil Nwaosu Baptist Association of Imo Baptist Conference approved by the Nigerian Baptist Convention 106 Session on 2nd May, 2019 at Ogbomosho”, disclosed that FBC , Avu, FBC, Oforola, HGBC, Obosima, FBC, Umuekpu Agwa, Bethel Baptist Church, Obeama Agwa, FBC, Okuku, ZBC, Umuokire- Okuku, Salvation Baptist Church, Oforola, BC Mgbala-Agwa, Goodnews BC, Obogwe and Gate of Heaven BC, Izombe constitute Evangelical Baptist Association”.
Vowing to always work actively with inducted officers to achieve objective of Evangelical Baptist Association for the growth of the Church.

Chairman, Inauguration Committee and Moderator of Evangelical Baptist Association, Rev. Saturday Oyibo Ogbuji, of Higher Ground Baptist Church, Obosima, Ohaji, expressed satisfaction on the success of the Conference which he added will be a worthwhile Association.

Rev Ogbuji emphasised that “the Association for now has a total number of eleven (11) Churches, six (6) organised Churches and five (5) unorganized Churches, having four (4) ordained ministers and six (6) unordained ministers”.

He explained that the Association, being “a community of believers who represent Christ by proclaiming the Gospel, discipline believers, caring for and developing Churches to be involved in holistic ministries, evangelistic, social and healing while collaborating with other Christian agencies across the globe”, saying the officers, being the first formerly elected leaders of the Association, will serve as pioneer drivers to gain success with the full support of the Church.

Preaching to the audience on “Challenge”, Rev LC Okoroafor, reminded Christians to dedicate themselves completely to the work of God to have fullness of joy, harping that the activities of the Church are always given priority concern.

Among the Officers of the Association inaugurated are Brother Odo Ubanze, PRO, First Baptist Church, Avu, Rev George Okoduwa, Assistant Moderator, FBC, Avu and Hon Sabinus Ogbonna who applauded the effort of the Church members for a hitch-free and successful Convention.

The Chairman of the occasion, Marchal Ohaneze Okwuocha and Chief Launcher, Deacon TNJ Umunnakwe , adjudged the Association as deserving hence a lot of things will be harnessed through it in order to lift the Church, advising officers of Evangelical Baptist Association to work with the fear of God and cordiality as to convert new souls to God.
