Christian Group Calls for Peaceful Family Union, Reunion …Set To Hold Marriage Seminar April 12
ThankGod EMEH.
The Catholic Men Organization, CMO, of St. Mark Catholic Parish New Owerri, has mapped out turning point programmes to mark the 2025 Father’s Day (a.k.a. CMO Day) celebration coming up on May 4, 2025.
Among the life-changing programmes is a Marriage Counseling Seminar aimed at restoring the joy, peace and glory of marriages that have gone sour due to unwarranted contemporary issues in society.
The Marriage Seminar is billed to hold after 7am CMO Mass at St. Mark Catholic Church on Saturday, 12th April, 2025.
According to the Organizing Committee Chairman of this year’s Father’s Day Celebration, Chief Chris Akaraonye, the seminar is fully designed to end the cankerous trend of getting married today and divorcing tomorrow.

“It is very appalling how and why people come together as couples and in a twinkle of an eye before you spell ‘Jack’ , the marriage has collapsed”
“Almost 80 percent of Marriages in the country are no longer functioning and ache to query if marriage was a blessing or a curse contracted on lies, unresolved differences, fights, quarrels as well as divorce among others”
In the foregoing, the leadership of the CMO has engaged people of unquestionable integrity including the clergy to discuss the topic “Marriage: a curse or a blessing”, as Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Onyeocha presents a paper on how to lead successful Marriages in society.

The Rapporteur of the forthcoming high-packaged event is renowned Prof. Charles Agbaegbu of Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike.

The Chairman of the occasion will be Prof. C.C. Alugbuo of Imo State University, Owerri.
The Organizers of the programme appreciated the Parish Priest of St. Mark Catholic parish, Rev. Fr. Franklin Mbah for his all round support towards the 2025 Father’s Day Celebration while thanking the CMO Chairman, Dr Obi Kingsley Echendu for his leadership strides.

The committee urged the general public especially the youths to avail themselves of the opportunity to the biblical and otherwise teachings about marriage so as to be well grounded going forward with the journey of marriage and family life.
The CMO leaders however charge the public to spice up their marriages with unconditional love and tolerance.
