Book Launch: Prof Ugwulebo Urges “Eye For an Eye Measure” As Panacea To Inter-Ethnic Killings In Nigeria
By ThankGod Emeh...
A renowned scholar, popularly known as Oracle for his intellectual works and societal stance, Professor Emma Ugwulebo has urged Christians to take up “eye for an eye” measures aimed at battling wanton killings of Christians across the country.
Prof Ugwulebo made the call in his new book entitled “The Church and Existentialism” that will be launched alongside two other good reads on Thursday, 15th December 2022.
The venue of the book Launch is Imo State University Auditorium and Time is 11:00am prompt.

While fielding questions from newsmen at his office on Monday December 12, 2022 on what informed the choice of his works especially on The Church…, Professor Ugwulebo stressed that it is high time Christians defended themselves owing to persecution and unprovoked killing of Christians by violent religious groups.
He lamented that the way christian churches are going in the country, time shall come when there will be no one to practice Christianity, citing Egypt, Sudan, Turkey and other Christian countries where Christians had been killed and converted to Islam.

The Oracle however emphasized that for Christians and the church to uphold their faith and regain its glory respectively, the “church should provide it’s own security” and start teaching as well as acting on “balance of power, an eye for an eye, do me I do you and not docility and forgiveness as it is being preached”
Prof Ugwulebo further recommended that “the use of arms and ammunition should be legalized in the country” and “people should be allowed to go to churches with gun”
He added that “churches must create local awareness groups” and as well “constitute vigilante and other homegrown security agencies to man the churches as well as the general environment”
In the second perspective of the masterpiece, Prof Ugwulebo decried how clergymen have turned Christianity and church into money milking ventures where worshippers are seen as customers and clients.

The learned gentleman however likened the church to be social clubs where serial launching and re-launching is the order of the day while stressing that Christianity nowadays producing religious stragglers.
Professor Emma Osonna Ugwulebo advised the church to purge itself of fake men of God who paraded themselves with fake prophecies that have torn several peaceful families and kindred apart.
In his contribution, the proposed book reviewer for the forthcoming Launch, Professor Valen Obinna commended Prof Ugwulebo for putting up such masterpieces that shall change the ugly narratives of developmental, political, religious and otherwise issues in society.

Prof Obinna added that the Author’s work is drawn from his wide experience in sociology, history, political science and literature and called on the general public to join him at the launching of the books to get more insights in the works of what the society is really about.

Other books to be launched subsequently are; First…”Boundaries of Incest” depicting how a man married his daughter; second…”How Not To Rule” pointing out a man who was chosen by his people to be their king at no fee and the last…”Organizatio al behaviour” which is purely an academic work that discusses the behaviours of organizational participants in order to achieve set goals.
