Amb Chika Uju Marks 59th Birthday in Pomp Amid Cheers from Family, Friends

The cheering news of the banquet thrown to mark the 59th birthday of Ambassador Chika Uju; a renowned journalist, woman leader, activist and humanitarian on Monday, August 19, 2024 cannot be over emphasized, imagined but better witnessed to enjoy its glitz and glamour.
The event which was graced by family, friends, colleagues and well wishers of the celebrant at Mavis Hotels Owerri was not short of expectations of a high premium ceremony as Royal fathers, journalists, clergymen, captains of industries and political stakeholders across the state were in attendance.
The people however took resonating turns in pouring out goodwill messages on the lady of the hour, Ambassador Chika Uju in areas they have known and encountered her overtime while describing her as “a great Amazon, a beacon of hope, dogged fighter, a quintessential woman, a jolly good fellow and lover of God and good things” whom they are well pleased with.
Further eulogizing the celebrant, the Traditional Ruler of Ihim Autonomous Community Isiala Mbano LGA, Imo State, HRM, Eze Oliver Ohanweh who represented the Imo state Council of Traditional Rulers among other guests prayed for more accomplishments, and a smooth sail round another 365 days, adding that “May the surest blessings of the kings be with Ambassador Chika Uju all the days of her life”.

“Lady Chika Uju is a fine Lady in all aspects. She is religious, loving, nice, caring, a visionary politician who is sincere and accommodating. I pray that God continues to sustain her”, Eze Ohanweh added.
Similarly, the former Chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalists, Imo state Council, Sir Innocent Igwe defined Amb. Chika Uju as a “golden Lady, and a humanitarian per excellence who is considerate, result oriented, God-fearing and has made huge impact in journalism profession”.

“Ambassador Chika Uju is a dependable fellow, colleague and ally who always want the best and stands by the truth at all times”, the former Chairperson of Nigeria Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Imo state Chapter, Barr. Lady Vivian Otti expressed.
“Ambassador Uju (Ka Nwanyi gatu) is a worthy friend, and colleague with a heart of gold. I pray for more fulfilling and advise she keeps the fire of goodness burning”, the former Secretary of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo state Council, Lady Juliet Dim noted.

The PG of Eziachi, Orlu who doubles as a relative, Achugo Uche, alongside a sister of the celebrant Mrs Uche Ihim praised God for adding a new year to her peaceful life as they described her as “a woman of substance” and prayed she lives longer to reap fruits of her goodness.
In her vote of thanks, the celebrant Ambassador Chika Uju expressed total appreciation to the guests for their heart warming messages and prayers, mainstream and social Media shootouts as well as calls and gifts showered on her as she prayed for joyful celebrations to never depart from their dwelling places.

“I’m very delighted for the birthday wishes and I pray that God keeps those who celebrated with me. I thank God for keeping me to mark 59th birthday and I will always remain grateful to God as I work for humanity”, she maintained.
Adding his voice, Hon. Victor Diala, affirmed that “Lady Chika Uju’s life is a model to humanity” while noting that She is a caring mother and a reserved woman who remains one of the characters that effect positive change in the society.
The high point of the occasion included the cutting of cake and toasting of wine accompanied with photo sessions and warm cheers for the celebrant “to live long, prosper and enjoy good health for many happy returns”.
