2023 Presidency: Hon. Amadichi Optimistic of A New Nigeria, Promises Full Support For Labour Party
By Christopher Akagha…
The chairman, Diaspora Affairs of Labour Party, Hon. Amadichi Chike Divine has stated his optimism on a possible “New Nigeria” and pledged his relentless support towards the dream to install Labour Party’s presidential candidate into power as well as other positions during the 2023 general election.
Hon. Amadichi describes Mr. Peter Obi and Senator Ahmed Datti of Labour Party as the people’s choice for presidency in 2023.
In a release by the Special Adviser on Media to the Chairman, Diaspora Committee of Labour Party, ThankGod Emeh revealed that Hon. Amadichi told New Telegraph Newspaper during an exclusive interview at his Abuja Office last Monday, that oppositions are afraid of a possible loss to Labour Party’s candidates in 2023 presidential election and urged the people to jettison any rumor regarding breach of law on Diaspora campaign funding.
He said, having been accepted by those in country and diaspora, Mr. Peter Obi is the big force which all 2023 presidential aspirants have to reckon with, despite statements that Mr. Peter Obi and his party has no structure.
The chairman described Mr. Peter Obi as a law abiding citizen who would not agree to work with any illegal structure or entity that could dent his image and recalled that President Buhari enjoyed same Diaspora funding in 2015 when Nigerians abroad believed in him and his proposed Change Mantra which according to Amadichi, till date no one called for his head on that matter.
He further asserted that “the electoral law is very clear on the funding which only exempted the parties being funded abroad and not the candidates and as such, Peter Obi is free from the accusations especially where he never asked for the funding but getting it as support from Nigerians who believe in him for a New Nigeria”.
He continued “It’s all about the noise on Diaspora Fund raising for Peter Obi and Labour Party”
“Since the inauguration of my Committee to handle the Diaspora Affairs of Labour Party, the opposition parties in Nigeria are restless and so afraid as Peter Obi/Labour Party is not only accepted in Nigeria but hugely accepted by Nigerians in Diaspora”
Amadichi added that a new Nigeria is coming and will only be birth at this point in time by Mr Obi, Sen. Datti and the Labour party because of the well articulated proposals and engagements as well as wide acceptance of the candidates.
Amadichi who re-echoed his optimism of a New Nigeria in year 2023 concluded with pledge to being “Obidient”, in his words “I am Obidient and I am the Structure” he assured.
