Ononuju Salutes Uzodimma on Giant Strides at June 12

The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Barr Kingsley Ononuju, has saluted Governor Hope Uzodimma on his giant strides at Democracy Day, on June 12, 2020.
Ononuju is happy that the Governor had within a short time in Office achieved a lot for the State especially on infrastructure: road construction including education, payment of salaries and pensions, the confirment of casual workforce in the Civil Service to full staff and other numerous gains.
He disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Owerri during the celebration of Democracy Day, on June 12.
The Commissioner who said June 12 was a remarkably great day as the country was returned to democratic setting, reflected that it was a day voter’s right was restored especially by the ruling APC government even though there have been challenges of governance on actual democracy which he said is persisting.

He thanked Governor Hope Uzodimma for doing well with the sustenance of democracy, rule of law and accountability in governance and politics.
The Commissioner pointed out that the Governor had boosted Imo internally generated revenue to the tune of over #2b with viable policy of recruiting capable consultants in the Board of Internal Revenue to champion the task for advancing revenue generation, including making an inroads in restoring Ada Palm and upgrading Imo Poly to University of Agriculture status.
Ononuju reaffirmed his loyalty to the Governor, vowing to often do his best to help the Governor strengthen commerce and industry with a view to sustaining the economy for continued development.
