Man U Star, Ander moves to sign new deal after convincing Solskjaer
Ander Herrera will end speculation about his Manchester United career by signing a new deal at the club, according to reports midfielder will reportedly commit his future to the Red Devils after being convinced by caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Spaniard’s contract is still due to expire in the summer, but Solskjaer is keen to keep him at Old Trafford.
According to The Sun , the affection shown by the 29-year-old towards the club has convinced the interim boss a new deal is warranted.
Wages had proved to be a stumbling block in previous negotiations for a new deal for Herrera.
The former Athletic Bilbao midfielder earns around £120,000-a-week in Manchester on his current deal, which has six months left.
Having joined in 2014, the club activated a one-year extension last year while Jose Mourinho was still in charge.
Herrera has attracted interest from a number of clubs in Spain – where his family live.
