Emene-Enugu Massacre: Gov. Ugwuanyi’s Security Meeting So Empty of Action -Comrade Igboayaka boils
Nkemdirim Alisigwe, OWERRI.
The apex socio-cultural youth organization of Igbo nation, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) through its national President Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka has reacted to the outcome of Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s emergency security in regard of Emene massacre of Igbo youths in the state while describing it as a trivalent gathering.
Comrade Igboayaka opined that the position of Ndigbo is that he should set up an independent Judicial Panel to investigate the incident to ascertain where legal action should be taken against all the security personnel involved in the inhumane act irrespective of hierarchy.
The leadership of OYC who queried if the Chief security officer of Enugu state, Governor Ugwuanyi was informed before the operation took place, lamented that it’s unacceptable to Ndigbo for Nigeria security agents in their claim perceived a meeting of IPOB as a security threat to Enugu state without informing the number one citizen of the state.
Pressing further, OYC demanded that it must be revealed to Ndigbo and Nigerians the person who ordered or commanded the shooting at armless defenseless youths.
Comrade stated that the subsequent meeting of the Governor Ugwuanyi with traditional and religious leaders must be culminated in setting Independent Panel or Ndigbo will see him as part of the conspiration against Ndigbo.
Comrade Igboayaka regretted that the masssacre of Igbo youths across the country including killings of 30th August 2015 in Onitsha (Anambra State), Enugu State, Yenagoa (Bayelsa State), Port Harcourt (Rivers State), Asaba (Delta State) and Aba n 29th January and 9th February 2016 as well as 11th and 14th September 2017 massacre at IsialaNgwa, Ogwe and Umuahia were swept under the carpet, but maintained that the incident of Emene Enugu will be the end of the perpetrators in accordance with law.

Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) National President Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka
“The way Governor Ugwuanyi handles this case will determine whether he had been bought over by Fulani political oligarchy or he is still serving the interest of Ndigbo inline with rule of law”
“As it’s never before, all Igbo eyes are in Emene Enugu massacre including the international community and Ohanaeze Youth Council will not relent in their campaign to bring justice to the dead Igbo youths”
OYC regretted that the security agent that died at the unprofessional operation was an Igbo man, describing the attack as a total loss to Ndigbo.
