Election Attacks in Lagos: Onuigbo Ndigbo Gburugburu advises Igbos
Following the xenophobic attacks targeted at Igbos in Lagos by political thugs over the 2023 general election, the Onuigbo Ndigbo Gburugburu, Chief Engr Ejike Iwu, has called on all Igbo traders living in Lagos and other areas where there businesses as well as lives are threatened to come back and invest in Igboland.
In a message to the media, Onuigbo Ndigbo Gburugburu said since the people who claim they own Lagos have decided to reject them, Igbo traders should relocate the markets and trade fairs they built there to the East.
According to Onuigbo Ndigbo Gburugburu, Igbos should relocate their Spareparts Markets, building materials and all other market where they sell their wares, back to the East.
“When we develop our place, we will begin to manage ourselves. Let them come back home.
“We are not ready for another fight. We are not ready for another war. Let them come home”, he said.
He charged Eze Ndigbo in Lagos to take up the challenge and ensure that Igbo traders relocate to the East for their safety and that of their businesses.
Onuigbo Ndigbo Gburugburu however expressed disappointment with royal fathers in Igboland for keeping mute in the face of the ethnic attacks and harassment against the Igbos.
