David De Gea extends unwanted record and Manchester United fans react

It was a night of mixed emotions for David de Gea while on international duty with Spain.
The Manchester United goalkeeper was on the winning side as his team defeated Norway 2-1 in their opening Euro 2020 qualification match on Saturday night.
However, it wasn’t all plain sailing for the United shot-shopper after he lost his clean sheet from the penalty spot.
Spain had taken the lead through Rodrigo before Bournemouth forward Joshua King drew the away side level from 12 yards out.
Although his penalty was a fine finish low into the bottom right corner of the net, it extended an unwanted record which has seen De Gea save just 11 of the 50 penalties he has faced in his career.
In fact, his last penalty save was from Romelu Lukaku in 2016, and supporters couldn’t help but remind him of this woeful record after the match.
