Attack on “Orlando Cares” Medical Outreach, A Win For Vincent Madu, Big Loss For Other Candidates For Orlu, Orsu, Oru East Federal Constituency

The unwarranted gunmen attack on the Social Democratic Party, SDP’s candidate for Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency, Mr Vincent Ikechukwu Madu popularly known as “Orlando” has been described by all and sundry as worrisome, barbaric and undemocratic amid thought-provoking questions of who wants to eliminate him from the race and for what reasons.

The six (6) heavily armed men who seemed to have acted out a script from mischief makers in the Constituency by the way and manner they invaded a medical mission of the SDP candidate popularly made away with the outreach materials as well a car.

This is contained in a press release issued by Orlando media team and made available to news men recently after the despicable development.

According to the release, security agents in the area when called upon to arrest the situation; tactically swung into action killing four and apprehended two gun men.

AN ATTACK TOO MANY.

Who is Afraid of Orlando, Mr. Ikechukwu Madu?
(SDP House of Representatives Candidate for Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency).

ON 19/02/2023, Mr. Vincent Ikechukwu Madu the SDP candidate for Orlu, Orsu and Oru East federal constituency through his foundation, OURBROTHERS’ FOUNDATION was on a free medical outreach in his country home, Umuezeala Etiti Omuma. An event that was well attended by many people mostly by old and indigent people from his community and the neighboring towns and villages.

It was all joyful and peaceful as the people were beaming with smiles before a HEAVILY ARMED GANG numbering six (6) alighted from a silver colored SUV JEEP in the middle of the event and cut short the humanitarian activities of the Foundation.

In a Gestapo style, they forced open the gate of the Foundation’s hospital gate, gained entrance, destroyed all the chairs, Plastic shades (canopies) and cated away with the drugs, some light medical equipments procured for use in that event and a black Lexus saloon car.

The people who were mostly older men, women, pregnant women and children were traumatized and were seen scampering for safety as many sustained various degrees of injuries.

Million dollar questions seeking for answers here remains:-

1. Why would a human being attack to disrupt an event organised to help the poor and vulnerable?
2. Who is Afraid of, or after Mr. Vincent Ikechukwu Madu’s (Orlando) Candidacy and outstanding high rising profile?
3. Of what benefit will it be to whosoever that is behind the attack on an innocent Man whose ernest aim is to help the poor?

GOOD NEWS…

The security agents when informed about the incident, quickly mobilized and headed for the scene but before they could get there, the gun men had left the place. They didn’t relax but went after them. They were sighted trying to escape but were engaged in a fire fight that saw four (4) of their gang members neutralized and two arrested with some bullet Wounds.

We thank the general public for their concern and care while we faced the traumatic situation. In a special way, we thank the security men, the youths who did not only take our Candidate and his team to a safer place but helped in the Organisation of the medical outreach.

Finally, we urge all and sundry to troupe out enmass and vote Vincent Ikechukwu Madu (Orlando) of the SDP for federal house of representatives. He understands that the major contributor of insecurity is joblessness and he will make sure that youths from his Constituency will be gainfully employed or be trained in their chosen trades.
