Owerri Traders Cries Out again for Shop loss....
THANKGOD EMEH, Owerri.
It was a Black Thursday Morning, 25th January, 2018 for Shop owners at Owerri Old Stadium Plaza, Tetlow Road and environs as inferno raze their facilities and wares to mere dust.
People were devastatedly fighting the disaster as early as the fire outbreak was noticed in the early hours of the day.
An eye witness who narrated how the inferno started said it began as early as 5 in the morning from a shop(upstairs) of the Plaza and transfered to others when it wasn’t extinguished.
Another Witness who spoke to NEWS-CORNER MEDIA CREW said several Distress calls were put cross the OWERRI Fire Service to professionally extinguish the devastation but all attempts proved abortive as no trace of their presence was felt in the scene.
Claims were held to wrong electric connections recently done in One of the affected shops as the cause of the Fire outbreak which razed down Billions.
“It’s such a Big loss for us here to recount this early (January) as none of my goods and that of my neighbours were secured in the outbreak”, said one of the owners of the burnt shops.
It’s a very hard time for us all. God help us.
